CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification With Bloodborne Certification

Being able to come to a person’s aid in times of emergency is a valuable skill. You cannot gain such skills just by watching hospital dramas. You need to take well-taught and effective hands-on courses through OC Safety, where you will be certified and ready to help with medical emergencies no matter where you are.

CPR

CPR, or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, is the lifesaving skill of delivering breaths and external heart compressions to someone who isn’t breathing and doesn’t have a pulse. Learning how to do this correctly so that you don’t cause additional injury to the victim or patient is important. It’s at the heart of this particular training course.

First Aid

First aid is the act of rendering basic medical care for wounds and injuries so that the victim or patient remains relatively stable until an ambulance arrives. This part of the course teaches how to examine injuries, stabilize injured body parts, and bandage wounds or prevent further blood loss. It’s equally as important as CPR, which is why they are taught together.

AED Certification

An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is a device that is quickly becoming more common in public areas. The portable AEDS are what you will learn about, and how you will be certified. Then you can safely jumpstart someone’s heart using an AED available in a public place or with a portable AED you can carry in your car.

Bloodborne Certification

Bloodborne pathogens are dangerous and deadly. When you come across the scene of an accident where blood is involved, you need to protect yourself while you are attempting to help the victims. You learn to assess situations where blood is involved as there may be a bloodborne danger present.

Bloodborne certification in this course walks you through the dangers of blood, blood saturation, blood diseases, and how to protect yourself when dealing with accident victims that have wounds with blood issuance. Certification of this part of the course ensures that you and everyone you help will remain healthy regardless of which diseases may or may not be present.

Altogether It Is An Extensive Lifesaving Course

There’s a lot that goes into this course. However, you get a lot out of it, too. The multiple certifications you receive as a result of successful completion grant you the ability to act as a first responder or contribute toward continuing education credits for EMT, CNA, LPN, RN, and beyond.

Contact OC Safety today to register for an upcoming session of this course. There are multiple sessions, each with dates and times that make it easy to fit this course into your busy life.
