What You Need to Know

At OC Safety, we provide instructor-led training that allows participants to complete credited coursework. Our CPR & First Aid Training class covers adult, child, and infant CPR and First Aid.

What You’ll Learn

  • Skills- You’ll learn how to perform one-person CPR, CPR with rescue breaths, hands-only CPR, and how to administer CPR. You’ll also learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. For First Aid, you’ll learn how to control bleeding, how to treat minor injuries & burns, how to respond to chest pain, and how to treat a victim of poisoning. Overall, there is much more you will learn in this course.
  • Knowledge- You’ll learn the importance of safety and standard protocols. Topics can include how to assess an adult or child’s injury and what to do in extreme situations. As with CPR training, you’ll also learn how to recognize an emergency and how to move an injured person safely and effectively. You’ll also learn how to conduct primary assessments on responsive and unresponsive individuals which will help you determine the best form of treatment.
  • Experience- As part of your CPR training, you’ll have the opportunity to practice CPR. Your instructor will also review your First Aid knowledge. They’ll also take you through the steps you’ve already learned to control bleeding, treat minor injuries, do patient assessments, and more.
  • Confidence- All while gaining the knowledge, skills, and experience, you’ll also build confidence along the way. Knowing what you can and cannot do is a huge part of building confidence to administer CPR and First Aid.
