Restorative Nurse Assistants acquire special knowledge, skills, and techniques in therapeutic rehabilitation and work alongside rehab staff caring for patients with limited mobility and capacity for self care. RNAs assist the patient in performing tasks that restore or maintain physical function as directed by the established care plan. The role of a RNA is an extension to that of the CNA and a CNA license is required for certification.
